If you have ever tried to demo the Subsplash Giving Text-to-Give feature, it is possible that you might've been automatically logged into a donor account for email@example.com. Rest assured that this is not a real user, nor a real Subsplash employee! Instead, this is a demo account set up for churches to demo our product.
This automatic login should only happen if you access a very specific demo account, whether that's by using the direct link or by texting "Give" or "Giving" to either of our text-to-give numbers in the past.
We have since changed our demo text-to-give account to avoid this issue. However, if you attempt to use "Give" or "Giving", you will still be directed to a demo account that will prompt a "demo mode" error if you try to give or link a payment method.
Luckily, the solution is quite simple! All you need to do is log out of your account, and log back in (or sign up) under your correct donor account.
If you still find yourself logging into the demo account, we recommend that you clear your cache & cookies on your browser and app.
Lastly, be sure to delete any text-to-give messages or bookmarked links you have that might be taking you to the demo account.
Tip: If you're having trouble using text-to-give, we recommend that you connect with the church organization you are trying to give to, to make sure you're using the correct phone number and keyword.
